Hello, I am Anna
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expatriate living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The early months were demanding — learning new systems, establishing new routines, and adjusting to new expectations. Everyday chores felt more tangled than they should have been.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet over time, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built MellowCoveBeam
Most information online skewed toward corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that void with practical guidance grounded in life in Germany.
What This Site Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site stands for:
- Practical insights from life in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site isn’t:
- Not a tourist-board resource
- Not a sponsored-review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Germany continues, and the learning journey goes on as well. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Anna
